[ With the two of them slashing and bludgeoning the plant creature, Sora's hope is that it would at least be enough to make it stop expelling that pollen. It's already making his eyes sting and his chest burn, and while he's doing everything in his power not to inhale, that's easier said than done.
Instead, as the plant takes more damage it only seems to let out more of the spores, probably as some kind of defense mechanism. Eventually Sora has to jump back out of its immediate range to catch his breath, which devolves into a coughing fit.
If this had been a Heartless, all it would have taken was some careful dodging and a few good whacks. As things stand now, he thinks they might need to be more creative. ]
Maybe... if I use my power? [ Sora wheezes out the suggestion as he struggles to catch his breath. ] Like when we fought that monster on your first night here.
