bro bonding and stuff
[Settling down into a normal life for the second time (which Elena has taken to referring to as a "normal life plus", with some amusement) hasn't really given Nate the opportunity to see his brother more often than it would if he'd stayed in the treasure hunting lifestyle. He'd expected it to, since not constantly traveling for the next job would theoretically allow Sam to come visit between his own gigs, but he'd underestimated how often D & F Fortunes would keep them on the road, between the actual expeditions and planning for the taping side of things.
They'll be home for at least a few months now, though, and that's worked out with Sam being able to fly in from wherever he was last—Belize, he thinks?—for a few days. He can't think of better timing. Even better, Elena's holding down the fort at work today, allowing him to take the afternoon off and prepare for his brother's arrival (which mostly involves stocking up on beer and associated sundries). Which should be just about any time now.
