If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
Who: Sora and Roxas
What: [AU] Roxas and Sora take refuge in a small secluded town to recover from an ordeal.
Where: Traverse Town

Traverse Town is a safe haven, a place of refuge for whosoever needs it at the time. Two of those people happen to be Sora and Roxas, guarded in the hotel by both protective magic and a few concerned friends in the adjoining room.
It's hard to say when or if Roxas will wake up. While his body has been healed of external injuries, there's no telling what internal strife he might have gone through during his capture. Sora has many people to thank for his safe return, Roxas included. He hasn't emerged wholly untouched and unchanged from the ordeal, but considering the circumstances, he's doing well. As for Roxas? That one, Yen Sid and Aerith are not so certain of. While they felt no tremors, no immediate danger that Roxas' heart or dreams needed to be rescued from, there's not much they can do but wait and have faith that Roxas will wake when he is ready.
In the mean time? Sora will do all that and more. He'll stand guard as Roxas recovers, staying up long into the night. In the same way that Riku has brought him back from the nightmarish abyss, so too has he done for Roxas. Until the other wakes, Sora will guard him from external dangers, and be a light for him to return to.
It's his turn to protect Roxas.
